Music majors out there Helppppppppp??? I have to find a cd on?
Mendelssohn’s Fourth Symphony which is called the Resurrection Symphony based on a Bach Chorale I have tried to search on Amazon and can not find it. Is this the same as BACH: St Matthew Passion (Mendelssohn version) ?
If you know the title of it, that is what I need so I can purchase it. If you go to Amazon and find it Please send me the link…

Well, which symphony do you need? Mendelssohn’s Fourth Symphony is called the Italian Symphony. His Fifth Symphony, which is based on a Lutheran chorale, is the Reformation Symphony. The Resurrection Symphony isn’t by Mendelssohn at all, but it’s the Second Symphony by Mahler.
(And Bach’s St. Matthew Passion is a completely different work)
All of these symphonies are widely available on Amazon. I would suspect you could find them at your local/university library as well.
