I am a native of North Carolina, born and raised in the Yadkin County area located very close to Winston-Salem. My family is very musical. My father continues to play fiddle at various events and festivals and my mother plays piano and sings. My parents were very influential in the early development of my musical career. While still in High School, I was a member of one of the first all female Bluegrass Bands and performed in a variety of Bluegrass competitions and festivals throughout the Carolinas and Virginia. Meanwhile, I played flute in my High School Band and studied classical Violin through private lessons at the School of Arts in Winston-Salem. After completing High School, I attended the University of North Carolina at Greensboro and obtained a Bachelors Degree in Music Education with honors. After College, I taught at a private school for a period of three years. I was also hired as a featured vocalist and instrumentalist at a very large, family oriented ,theater in Hickory, NC |

In 1991, I moved to Nashville, taking the big step of faith and determination. Since moving to Nashville, I have been fortunate to have performed in many different venues and have made many talented and famous musical friends. I toured throughout the U.S. with a Nashville based group called "The Nashville Country Music Revue" for a couple of years. I have also been a performer at the Opryland Theme Park for two seasons. I was a featured vocalist and fiddle player with the Bluegrass group "White Water" in the Martin Guitar Theater and appeared with this group on a televised portion of the Bill Monroe segment of the Grand Ole Opry. I also performed in the Durango Theater with the singing impressionist "Johnny Counterfit". |

I was the staff fiddle player and featured Vocalist at the Nashville Palace, where I performed from 1994 -1999, five to six nights a week. In 96 & 97 I also performed in Nikko Japan at the Western Theme Village. I have also been a featured singer with the "Nashville Swing Band" with the legendary fiddler Buddy Spicher who was a very influential part of my current CD. |

Through these many venues, I have been privileged to back up many artists such as: Jack Greene, Connie Smith, Jim Ed Brown, Bill Anderson, Johnny Russell, Jeanne Pruitt, Jeanie Sealy, Dale Reeves, Little Jimmy Dickens, Billy Walker, Ronnie Stoneman, Granny Johnson, Johnny Counterfit, Box Car Willie, Steve Hill & Dianne Sherrill, Vern Gosdin , Porter Wagoner, Jan Howard, Johnny Lee, Mila Mason, Jessica Andrews, Tammy Cochran, and Ricky Van Shelton just to name a few. |

I also do demo sessions for various artists and songwriters. In addition I continue to pursue my songwriting career which is starting to gain some attention. I have worked in the road bands of Julie Reeves, Mindy McCready and Lila McCann as harmony vocalist, fiddle and acoustic guitar player. |

In addition, I have performed at in town venues, such as the Ryman Auditorium.. This past June 2000, I performed at a festival in Vinstra, Norway as fiddler, acoustic player, harmony vocalist and Featured Artist with independent label, International Sounds. |
| My current CD is now receiving world wide air play in the U.S. and overseas and is doing well on the International Independent Charts. I also recorded a Christmas Album for the year 2000, which has gotten very good response from the Folk/Americana DJs in the US. I am currently working on a Bluegrass project which will hopefully be released in the spring of 2001. Please read my News page to keep updated. |
